Wordless (mostly) Wednesday - Fishing

They are SO eager to go fishing at the cottage, begging me to pack the rods and asking almost as soon as we arrive.  I don't do fish.  But I am an awesome mom so grab gloves, net, and pliers to handle the unlucky catches anyway.  Laura doesn't actually want a hook on hers.  Um, ????  Owen does about five casts and is done.  Score!  They are content, I have no fish to deal with.  Another contrived memory at the cottage.  Priceless.

WW - Making new snowfriends

Meet Tina and Crystal. Laura is the one in the middle. The new friends are chillin' in our backyard. All very sweet except now I feel like I'm being watched through the kitchen window.

Wordless Wednesday - December reflections

I'm having troubles writing anything lately. Thankfully it is Wordless Wednesday and I've got some pics. Hopefully my brain will return soon. Happy New Year! (A little late on that one. Methinks my quit procrastinating resolution isn't working so well. )

WW - Bridgehead made my day

On the weekend I felt worse than if I had swallowed glass. However, being supermom, I took DD to a birthday party at Gotta Paint (awesome place!) and I killed the time with a Westboro wander. I wheezed my way to Bridgehead and indulged in a yummy carrot cake and coffee. It was a miracle cure. I enjoyed the rest of my wander being easily amused by the hydrant art and all the Westboro wonders. Not such a dreadful day after all.

Wordless Wednesday - Welcome Fall

Photos from last year but still make me smile. 'Tis my favourite time of year.

Wordless Wednesday - Some old castle thing

And to think last week at this time I didn't have my passport yet.

It's been an amazing week visiting Edinburgh, Scotland. This is the view from our hotel room - Edinburgh castle on the hill, National Gallery across the street. Yep, this will do nicely.
(More to come when I can see straight.)

Wordless Wednesday - Fabulous Fathers

There are three fathers we are celebrating this weekend.
First is Steve - my husband and father to our wonderful kids. He's a little camera shy but quick to shoot photos of us. Great to laugh, learn, live adventures and love. We are all so blessed.

My dad, Dave. Forever the scientist, teacher and fixer with a big heart to both generations. Wish he lived closer but we enjoy any time we get together.

My father-in-law Bob. Huge heart and so much spunk for a grandpa. Adored by all, even when he teases too much.
Looking through the photos reminded me how precious all these dad's are to us. I will aim to take more photos and cherish the times we get to spend together.
Happy Father's Day.

Wordless Wednesday - bowling amusement

I don't know what they like most about a family bowling outing - the ball tossing or the toxic slushies they get. Nice tongues!

Wordless Wednesday - Signs of Spring

Some random photos from this month. Spring is in the air!
